Each week we will bring you a 2 MINUTE TALK. We chat to some of the games biggest stars each week and bring it straight to you. This week’s 2 MINUTE TALK is with Wexford’s Mary Leacy. Find out who she rates as the best player she’s played against, her favourite GAA memory and much more…

2 MINUTE TALK – Mary Leacy:

Name: Mary Leacy

Age: 26

Club: Oulart the Ballagh

County: Wexford

Nickname: Molly

Favourite Venue: Croke Park

Best player played with: Most consistent player I have ever played with would definitely be Noleen Lambert; you can always count on her!

Best GAA memory: Winning club all Ireland 2012, and also captaining Wexford to all Ireland victory in 2007.

Funniest thing you heard/seen on a pitch: It definitely has to be my sister Una running into a goal post in a league match against Galway. The funny thing was that the goal was on the side-line, don’t know how she managed to run into it!! Even some of the Galway girls laughed

Superstitutions: The club or Wexford girls will probably tell you I am the most superstitious girl they know! I always have spaghetti bolognaise the night before my games, I have my certain spots in each dressing room, that is just a few of many!!

Favourite dish: Chicken Curry half and half

Favourite holiday destination: Dubai

Best trainer: Colleen Clune (Atkinson)

Laziest trainer: Kate Kelly (ha she’ll kill me)

Funniest teammate: Bridget Curran/ Leanne ‘Bumpy’ Nolan

Vainest teammate: It’s a draw between Deirdre Codd and Catherine O Loughlin

Best practical joke you have seen one of the lads play: Our trainer left his van running one night so a few of the women jumped in and parked it out of view….he nearly had a heart attack

I wear mycro because: It is good quality, comfortable and to be honest when I am playing a match I hardly notice I am wearing it!

Best book you’ve read: I loved the hunger games trilogy

Favourite musician: Rihanna

Favourite film: The hang over

Other interests: Athletics, eating out, shopping, socialising and keeping fit.

Channing Tatum or Robert Patterson: Robert Patterson (what can I say I loved Twilight)

Something we didn’t know about you: I am a big clean freak…….
